Head Coach - Director
I have three kids that have graduated from Franklin Regional school district. I've been riding a bicycle since 1976. BMX, Mountain Bike and Road are my favorite disciplines. I love being a leader in the FR biking community, where I'm able to share my knowledge and love of bicycling and help students thrive on the trail and in the classroom.
Jim Pottinger
Head Coach
Founder of the Pittsburgh East Composite MTB team and the Franklin Regional MTB Club. Jim has been riding since 1983 and racing since 1991. He believes mountain biking teaches riders how to overcome obstacles while building lifelong friendships and embracing cycling as a healthy family activity.

I had never tried mountain biking before, but once my son got involved, it wasn't long before I was hooked as well! Now we love hitting the trails together with the team and on our own. As I learn more about the sport, I love being able to pass that knowledge on to new riders.

Director of Franklin Regional Mountain Biking Team Inc. I started coaching because my daughter Delaney brought home a try-it-ride flyer and asked me to coach. I didn't even have a modern bike at the time. Delaney loves it, and I'm here for her.

I started coaching because mountain biking became something unique I could share with my son. What began as time on the trail together quickly turned into a real love for the sport, the team, and the community around it. For me, it is about more than bikes, it is about family, growth, and sharing the joy of the ride!
